Hawaii is not that special, it’s nice but I wouldn’t want to live here…this is what I thought many years ago after my first week of vacation.  I was going from tourist attraction to tourist attraction seeing beautiful places but I was missing something. On the second week of my vacation I stopped being a tourist, I stopped rushing around, and I took time to feel the spirit of Hawaii and I fell in love with the Islands; I gave my notice at work, left home and moved to Hawaii for an unforgettable year…and the start of my life of travel!

  I have designed this trip with time to explore, to relax and to feel the real Hawaii.  Many tours go from island to island with a lot of time spent at airports and hotel check-ins.  We will be exploring two of the most beautiful islands, with time for sight seeing and time to walk on the beach and watch the sunset. Please join me, I would love to show you the beauty of these two special islands.

Itinerary

Maui  - The Magic Isle.  It’s understandable how Maui has been voted “Best Island” by readers of Conde Nast Traveler for seventeen years!  Imagine beautiful beaches, lush green valleys, award winning golf courses and great restaurants and shops.

Sep  05  Wed  -   Maui
Check-in at the Sheraton Resort & Spa, located on Kaanapali Beach – you have an ocean view and private lanai. You will meet the other travelers for a Welcome Drink and Pupu’s.






Sep  06  Thu    -   Maui
Haleakala, Central Maui and Iao Valley Tour – On this full day tour you journey to the summit of Mount Haleakala - Hawaii’s House of the Sun!  You will travel through Maui’s Upcountry Kula Area to the 10,043 summit at Haleakala National Park and Pu’u Ula’ula Overlook. Experience the unique flora and birds that are part of the beauty of Maui. On the way back you will stop at Iao Valley State Park and see Iao Needle, the forth largest peak on Maui.

Sep 07  Fri    -   Maui
Enjoy the day!  Do an optional tour, take a helicopter ride or Road to Hana Excursion ; swim, snorkel, zip-line, go horse back riding, shop, play golf looking out at the ocean, or sit by the pool with an umbrella drink and a good book!

Dinner tonight at the Old Lahaina Luau; they take great pride in presenting an authentic Hawaiian Lu’au and an evening of traditional Hawaiian cuisine, music, cultural dances and demonstrations.  Six time recipient of the “Keep it Hawaii” award for perpetuating and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Hawaiian Islands.

Enjoy the day with lots of options to choose from – or just do nothing! 

Maui Sunset Sail -tonight enjoy a sail aboard a state of the art catamaran. Sip on a refreshing beverage while soaking in the incredible coastal views of Maui and sailing between Molokai and Lanai.  Pupu’s and Open Bar are included.

Enjoy the day, have you gone surfing yet or tried paddle boarding?  Time for last minute shopping and lunch in Lahania

Dinner, a farewell to Maui as we head for Kauai to continue our adventure. 

Kaua’i - The Garden Isle. With its endless shades of green, soaring cliffs and dramatic canyons, Kauai invites you to renew your connection with nature. This emerald treasure has been the setting for over 60 movies and TV shows because of its exotic beauty.

Sep 10  Mon   -   Maui to Kauai
Time to leave Maui! We transfer to the airport for our flight to Kauai and check-in at the Kauai Marriott Resort, which has completed a 50 million upgrade. Enjoy the resort before we meet tonight for dinner.




Sep 11 Tue   -   Kauai
Kauai Movie Adventure – on your full day tour, you’ll explore some of the most romantic, exciting and adventurous movie locations in the world as we learn the rich history of the island.  Visit many famous movie locations including South Pacific, Jurassic Park, Blue Hawaii, Donovan’s Reef, Raiders of the Lost Ark and George Clooney’s new movie The Descendants.  We stop for lunch (not included) in Hanalei on the North Shore; a small town filled with colorful shops, restaurants and unique art galleries.

Sep 12 Wed   -   Kauai
Waimea Canyon Excursion – Waimea Canyon  called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific is over ten miles long, and almost 4,000 feet deep, has stunning views of  lush valleys and tropical forest canopies.  The Waimea Canyon State Park has native and introduced forests and mountain scenery, this is one of Kauai’s biggest attractions.

Sep 13 Thu   -   Kauai
Free day, have a spa treatment, do last minute shopping or just enjoy a relaxing day at the pool.

Farewell Dinner – our last night together.

Time to head home, the end of the adventure…until next time!
